In early 2024, a rift in the space-time continuum reportedly opened in Houston—and Knew5 was there to cover the story.
To build buzz for the launch of Meow Wolf’s Houston location, the art collective teamed up with Street Factory to create a one-of-a-kind rolling art installation that could double as a mobile broadcast hub for their interdimensional news team. Their debut broadcast was at the Art Car Parade, where they interviewed attendees and artists.
The van’s exterior was designed to look like it had just traveled from another dimension. The graphics featured surreal glitches, otherworldly textures, traditional newscast elements, and neon green blobs escaping from the vortex in the back of the van.
